These poor kids don't know what is wrong with them, they are afraid, confused and lost, they shy away from other people because they don't even understand themselves. Scott summers origin story changes completely, imagine scott summers changed with the help of xavier, from this shy introverted kid, into a spoken out leader, one of the best leaders in comic history even though i hate him, but Joe Casey made the impossible possible, he made me absolutely love this version of scott, poor kid needs help, you feel like you want to talk to him be his friend, fight for his sake and teach him to fight for his own.Īnd bobby drake being bullied and saved by hank, and feeling miserably cold. I think joe did both we read old origin stories with new twist like the beast, we know he was a football star, we know he was hiding in plain sight by holding back his powers, we know they found out about him because of an accident, but what changed here is the accident as far as i can remember, the moment hank jumps over the crowd is breathtaking.
